DIY Staffordshire wedding in a field!
This wedding was actually nearly a year ago – so I don’t need to point out that I have a blogging back log!
From the very first time I met Hollie and James, I ‘got’ what they were trying to achieve for their laid back, fun wedding. They told me how they had found a field which came with power, the rest, they had to do themselves….and they sure did do it!
I think one of our conversations was about napkins – seems they thought about everything, the key to this, lists and lots of them!
Outdoor ceremony.
After spending some time on the wedding morning with both Hollie and James, I headed to their ‘venue’, Mansty Farm near Stafford where they had set up the most beautifully decorated marquee, games for the guests to play and an area for their ceremony. During the ceremony both made personal vows to each other, with James at times struggling to say his, it was very emotional.
Charlotte Balbier wedding dress.
I personally really liked Hollies choice of wedding dress. It was made by Charlotte Balbier and had French lace and sleeves.
Relaxed, laid back wedding and photography.
Hollie and James’s wedding was a perfect match for my style of photography. They didn’t want posed photos and instead wanted natural photos that captured their amazing day. The day they created for their friends and family made it easy for me to do what I do and give them wedding photos that are full of fun, energy and emotion. After all I couldn’t really go wrong with a tearful Groom; spontaneous Mexican wave, a Best man who spoke right from his heart and a proud Father of the bride.
If you are doing a DIY wedding, in Staffordshire or further away I think you should tell me about it!
