2017 in wedding photos.
Just like that the end of 2017 is nearly here and I’m doing a round up of all the weddings I’ve photographed. It only seems like five minutes I was doing this last year! I’ve sat with many cups of tea (and maybe one or two short-bread biscuits) and looked back through allllllll of the photos I’ve taken this year. I didn’t count them so I can’t tell you how many there were but there were a LOT!
I actually started off a ‘best of 2017’ folder on my computer back in May and after each wedding I was adding images into it. Trouble is I, got to June and then forgot to add any more!
There are always those photos, that as soon as I’ve taken them, make me want to do a little excited dance. Then there are the ones that just say everything that I try and achieve in all my photography – fun, emotion and natural.
Full time wedding photographer!
2017 has been my first year ‘officially’ being a full time Staffordshire wedding photographer. This time last year I was working my last week in my day job – one that had luckily given me chance to build Ragdoll Photography up over the past three years. All the hard work over that time was finally giving me chance to make my dream become a reality. Definitely a highlight!
Natural, fun wedding photography.
This year my wedding photography has taken me way beyond Staffordshire, I’ve been up to the Lake District, down to Bristol and across to Oxford. There has been fish and chips in a field in Staffordshire, a double decker bus in London and tons of confetti in Yorkshire. That’s without mentioning the forgotten ring, the pie on the wall and fireworks over Lake Vyrnwy.
I’ve also taken photos at probably the most unique wedding fair in the country, captured a proposal and met up with past couples who now have new additions. (- By far one of the best things about doing this ‘job’.)
To say I’m a bit excited about what lies ahead next year is probably an under-statement. Weddings at the Space Centre (Omgggggg), at least two that will involve dogs (Eeekk) and one in Devon (I can taste the cream tea now!!)
2018 will also see me doing more of my relaxed, natural family photo sessions, which I realllllllly enjoy.
If you, (like me) are a bit laid back and are getting married next year (not like me) it’s not too late to get in touch!
At the start of this I promised photos and photos you shall get, just before I go, a big shout has to go out to every single person who has been part of the Ragdoll Photography journey. I couldn’t (and wouldn’t have wanted to,) do it without you.
Thank you.
