For the wedding of Liv and Amy I got to visit the Old Parsonage in Didsbury, Manchester. It was my first time photographing a wedding there and it was nothing short of delightful. A bonus of photographing Liv and Amy’s wedding, was that I felt like I had known them forever, we share a love of dogs, cake and doors (don’t ask!)
Relaxed, documentary wedding photography.
Having two brides getting ready for their wedding meant I got to spend a bit of time with both of them in the morning. I started with Amy at her Grandparents house, (at which point I have to mention that her Grandma was being a bridesmaid and for the first time!) Before heading over to be with Liv and her gang.
I met them both again, when they saw each other for the first time, just before their ceremony at the Old Parsonage. Being witness to such a thing was really emotional for everyone there…possibly even including me!

After the ceremony, drinks were quaffed in the sun and guests made their way to the reception being held just down the road. Giving everyone chance to get ahead, the couple nipped into Fletcher Moss botanical gardens which gave me the perfect chance to get some nice, relaxed photos of the two of them doing their thing.
The Old Parsonage isn’t an obvious place to hold a wedding ceremony, but it’s a great one.
