The day I met Katie and Lee to take these photos, should have been their wedding day.
They should have been getting married at The Ashes Barns, a stunning wedding venue set in rural Staffordshire.
They should have been sitting down to some lovely wedding food with their friends and family.
Then came this situation and everything changed.
As a Staffordshire wedding photographer I have personally been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, nealtr all of my 2020 weddings have had to reschedule to 2021. Luckily I will still get to shoot these weddings.
At first Katie and Lee were devastated that their wedding had been cancelled. After getting a new date with the venue they then managed to sort all their other suppliers.
They then decided to make the original date for their wedding, as special as possible. Part of which, involved me meeting them in Stone, Staffordshire, to take some photos of them and their dog Henry. The weather was kind to us and we were treated to some gorgeous light at golden hour. Doing this meant they still got their day captured and got some pictures to treasure and remember what was still a special day from them.
Katie’s bridemaids and Mum organised for afternoon tea to be delivered to their doorstep and friends and family sent flowers and gifts. They also asked me to take some photos of them, to remember what should have been their wedding day. This was topped off with a surprise gathering from friends and family, meeting them at the same location I was taking the photos, with prosecco and a mini replica of the wedding cake.
If you’ve had to postpone your wedding, don’t worry about what should have been, get in touch with me and lets take some photos anyway!
