Sandon Hall wedding with Alice + Harry.

A Joyful June Wedding at Sandon Hall: Alice & Harry’s Perfect Day

June weddings always have a special charm, but Alice and Harry’s wedding was truly something to remember. Set in the heart of Staffordshire, their day was a beautiful blend of tradition and relaxed celebration, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. I spent the morning with Alice, her family and her bridesmaids whilst they got ready at the family home in Stone. Champagne was drunk, veils were attached and photos were taken.

A Ceremony Filled with Meaning

Alice and Harry chose to exchange their vows at St. Dominic’s Church in Stone, a place close to Alice’s heart. Having attended services there since she was young, it was only fitting that the vicar, who had known Alice for years, officiated the ceremony. This personal touch made the service deeply meaningful, with heartfelt readings, classic hymns, and a touching address from the vicar himself. As Alice walked down the aisle in her elegant Lyn Ashworth gown she looked stunning.

After saying their vows, the newlyweds emerged into the warm June sunshine and jumped into a convertible car for Harry to drive them to Sandon Hall in. The joy on their faces set the tone for the rest of the day—pure happiness and celebration.

A Reception Under the Summer Sky

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the magnificent Sandon Hall, where a beautifully decorated tipi awaited on the lawns. The grandeur of the stately home provided a stunning backdrop, but the reception itself had a wonderfully relaxed feel. With fairy lights twinkling and rustic floral arrangements adorning the tables, the setting was nothing short of magical.

Not long after their arrival at the Hall, after confetti and group photos, Alice and Harry took some time out for just the two of them, it was during this time that Alice transformed her wedding gown, much to the surprise of her new husband!

As a Staffordshire wedding photographer, getting to visit this great venue was a real treat, the amazing staircase provided a perfect location for some relaxed, informal bridal and grooms party photos.

Drinks flowed freely during the reception as guests mingled, sharing stories and laughter. A delicious feast followed, with locally sourced ingredients. Personalised speeches brought both tears and laughter, with the best man delivering a witty yet affectionate toast that had everyone in stitches. The cake cutting was of course done with a sword!

Dancing into the Night

As the sun started to dip, creating that beautiful golden glow, we jumped on a golf buggy and headed off into the grounds for some relaxed photos of just the two of them. There are so many places for photos, I was truly spoilt!

Alice and Harry’s first dance was a beautiful moment, a reflection of their love and the journey they were beginning together.

The atmosphere was lively yet intimate with wedding guests eating sweets, blowing bubbles and dancing, a perfect representation of the couple themselves. After their first dance Alice made another change into a dress more suited for dancing and enjoying the night.

A Day to Remember

Alice and Harry’s June wedding at Sandon Hall was a beautiful testament to their love, their families, and their shared sense of fun. With tradition at its heart but laughter in every moment, it was a day that will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to be part of it.

Sandon Hall is a stunning Staffordshire wedding venue and as a photographer the photo opportunities are endless. The team there are also super friendly and helpful, making it a pleasure to work alongside them.
