Meg + Adam got married at the registry office in my home town of Stafford. They opted for a bespoke wedding photography package as their wedding day was pretty low key and relaxed. Being a local wedding in Staffordshire I was able to offer them a couple of hours photography that captured the main parts of their celebration. Even though I was only with them taking photos for a few hours in almost every photograph I took they are laughing, which I love.
As registry offices go, the room in which civil ceremonies are held at Stafford registry is bright, characterful and tastefully decorated, in all my experiences there the staff have all been lovely too, everything you need for a simple, no fuss wedding. It’s located in the center of town which meant after their ceremony the three of us took a short walk through town for some couples portraits, including a stop off at where Adam lived when he met Meg.
As well as going down as one of the weddings filled with the most laughter, this wedding day also had the most enthusiastic confetti throwing, which made for great photos. I don’t know if it was the kind of confetti used or the wedding guests that were doing the throwing!
After a few drinks in the sun, some group photos and then super relaxed photos of the couple as newly weds, we headed to a local pub, the aptly named ‘Staffordshire bull’ for speeches and food.
If you’re having a micro or short day wedding, beautiful photos can capture the bits of your day that are important to you, book me for however long you need. Drop me an email and lets talk details.
